1.What's the best way to start the day?
I love variety, and that means I generally detest routine's. There are few routines and practices that have stood the test of time for me, but after some years of refining this morning routine, I believe it is among the most critical stages that I have to go through. Thus, I first go over my "to-do-list" , eat breakfast, exercise a little and then work over things planned!
2.Are you an introvert or extrovert?
I am an extrovert by nature and totally enjoy networking and meeting new people . I anticipate developing both personally and professionally from these experiences. Being an extrovert actually excites me to continue to explore across different cultures of the world.
3.What makes you feel accomplished?
My 20's are a definitive time where I usually feel really overwhelmed and intimidated, the not so clear roadmap to fulfillment or the key to success like getting good grades, getting into the right college, etc sometimes takes a toll on my mental health. In the real world there are no more stepping stones laid out carefully for you, there is a lot of uncertainty but still I had figured out many ways to make myself feel accomplished and feel confident about that. By leaning and perpetuating into the feminist incline whilst I start advocating for empowering myself and girls with confidence and committed to education, gender equality and interacting the strengths of diverse women had made my purposes more clear.
4.What are you most thankful for?
Having options in life makes me feel powerful and thankful about. I am happy that from an early age, I honed my skills and learned how to speak up rather than following the typical societal internalised paths. Power is the ability to show people what you can bring to the table and how you will become an asset to them. It makes me feel powerful to say, “If I quit my job tomorrow, I am going to be ok.” The ability to have control of my life and my career is what I am thankful to!
5.What’s your biggest regret in life?
In the chase of life and advancing and in being young and making mistakes, in being fearless and ignoring oneself, it is getting easy to get lost in goals and in lists but it is not okay to ignore self care which I believe is the biggest regret in my life.
6.What do you think about when you’re by yourself?
I try to figure out who I am, in this amazingly amazing and sometimes scary world all together.
7. Does your job make you happy?
Various developing countries are clearly seeing a revolution vis-à-vis women entrepreneurs. Gen Z women entrepreneurs do not come only from the established business families or from the higher-income sections of the population, they come from all walks of life and from all parts of the world. Currently my job is not full time but a part time internship which exposes me and makes me feel empowered in every possible way.
8.What are some of your favorite songs?
I am very choosy and obsessed with songs that I hear and love on the very first go. Currently I listen on repeat to "One in a Million" by Neyo, "Intentions" by Justin Bieber. I also love Backstreet Boys and Ed Sheran for that matter.
9.What is your greatest fear?
I sometimes fear about losing onto something which I hold onto for a very long time but then remind myself that people and decisions aren’t permanent. You don’t have to be stuck somewhere you don’t feel you’re right!
10.What accomplishment are you most proud of?
It’s an internal thing, I’m past the point of looking to other people to make me feel powerful and happy. Thus, I am proud of the person I am today and look up to. About knowing who I am and knowing who I am not. It is important to know our limitations, but to also know our strengths and fully step into those strengths and passions because every person has unique interests and skills. I believe that if each of those were activated and celebrated, our world would be much better.
11.What’s one thing that bothers you most about the world today?
Lack of awareness and right education! Awareness and education is knowing of yourselves and where you would like to see the change occur in your own life and without awareness, there is no change.
12.Who is your favorite historical figure?
I really envy Simon De Beauvoir and many other women historical figures who bought great revolutions whilst challenging patriarchy.
13.What food could you not live without?
I love spicy food! As long as I am getting spicy dishes of any kind, I can binge on them all day. Oh and of course Pizza and I share an eternal romantic relationship!
14.Who is your greatest hero?
My mother, she is the one who actually shattered and created a breakthrough for my dreams and passions. She is a support system in all ways!
15.What fictional character do you most relate to?
I relate with Jules (Anne Hathaway) from movie "The Intern"
16.Can you pinpoint the moment in your life where you were the happiest? Describe it.
Living in the present and here and now. It is so easy to let busy lives, technology and procrastination take over our lives, but being mindful of the things around you can bring peace and happiness into your life. In my life I take time to notice and enjoy the little things that are important and gather it as an experience. Thus, most of the time I don't remember when I was happy like a crazy, this moment is the only thing guaranteed in my life!
17.What is the strangest dream you’ve ever had?
As young children, we are connected to a force within us that is among the most powerful. It is authentic and true and has this sense of awe and wonderment about everything in the world. It is also the primary source of our creativity, because it is connected to our imagination. I often get these dreams which are really out of the current state that I dwell into and focus more upon my childhood days of wonder and awe.
18.What makes you feel uneasy? Overwhelmed? Anxious?
Relationship problems, arguments and disagreements with your close ones are some of the conflicts that trigger or worsen anxiety anger in me. Identifying personal triggers may take time, but it’s important so you can learn to overcome them.
19.Do you have a favorite book? A line in a piece of literature? A poem? Why do you relate to it?
Yes! My favorite quote from literature and women history is "For most of history, Anonymous was a woman" adapted from a line by writer Virginia Woolf which epitomises the place of women in history!
20.Are you proud of who you are right now?
I would say that my college life till now has taught me to be okay with uncertainty. I also came to realize that being stressed and having fun aren’t mutually exclusive. Sometimes, I actually love feeling busy, that's okay! It took me a long 18 years to realize my potential and worth but I certainly am proud of myself now!
